Bore Brushes are hand or machine-operated, large diameter blind hole brushes that are designed to clean both the wall and the bottom of a hole. They are used when a spiral brush is not strong enough or thick enough to provide sufficient abrasion.

HIGH DENSITY POLYETHYLENE (HDPE): A thermoplastic polymer made from petroleum. It is one of the most versatile plastic materials around. HDPE plastic is used in a wide variety of applications, including plastic bottles, milk jugs, shampoo bottles, bleach bottles, cutting boards, and piping. It is known for its outstanding tensile strength and large strength-to-density ratio. HDPE plastic is high-impact resistance and has a high melting point.

To accomplish this, the internal core of the bore brush is threaded. Gordon Brush® offers a choice of six different types of threads to attach the brush to the handle.

Depending on what type of barrel you are going to clean, will determine if you need a bore brush with PVC or HDPE core and the type of fill material. Gordon Brush® offers 4 types of fill material: Stainless Steel; Nylon; FDA-compliant Nylon; 6.12 FDA-compliant Nylon.  The latter two types of fill material can be used in foodservice, pharmaceutical, laboratory, or any healthcare setting.
