Styles of Rotary Brushes

All rotary brushes are similar in that they rotate or spin on an axis. Gordon Brush offers several styles of rotary brushes including:

  • Cylinder (aka Roller) brushes are rotary brushes that are cylinder-shaped, and are generally longer than the diameter of the brush.
  • Wheel brushes are rotary brushes that are rather flat, having a much longer diameter than the actual brush length.
  • Cup brushes are rotary brushes that have bristles on one side, and can be rotated on a shaft.

Tufted Cylinder (Roller) Brushes

Type 6.0 crimped natural Nylon staple set into high grade ABS plastic core. Low-density roller brush face helps reduce brush loading. Used primarily in printed circuit board industry. Other sizes of roller brushes available.

Bonded Disc Cylinder Brushes

Used primarily to condition surface of printed circuit boards and other metal surfaces. Layers of non-woven discs are compressed and formed around the center of brush. Brushes are manufactured with polyurethane bond increasing flexibility and maximizing brush life.

Bonded Flap Cylinder Brushes

Non-woven flaps extend outward from core of the cylinder brush yielding refined and consistent finish to printed circuit boards and metal surfaces. Bonded Flap brushes manufactured with polyurethane bond increase brush life and create a flexible brushface.

Abrasive Nylon Roller Brushes

Heavy density and high quality abrasive Nylon filament roller brushes. Full face configurations provide even-surface scrubbing and deburring. Precision ground with diamond wheel ensuring uniform trim. Has an aluminum core and adapter.

Spiral Wound Coil Roller Brushes

White type 6.0 Nylon brush is used for printed circuit board industry, specifically, in I.S. Pumice Machines. Density and filament configuration of these roller brushes provides for more efficient distribution of pumice onto the board surface maximizing brush life.

Rotary Pumice and Scrub Brushes

A round brush that can be used with scrubbing machines or flexible shafts. 5" diameter, 1" thick plywood block, and a standard 1/2" recessed arbor hole. Also used extensively for cleaning printed circuit boards.

Buffs

Designed for edge banding and buffing in the wood or metal finishing industries. S-shaped design allow linens materials to keep constant pressure on band while removing any excess adhesive. End result is a clean, finished and bonded edge.

Dressing Sheets

Aggressive material designed to true or shape both non-woven and abrasive Nylon filament brushes. Silicon carbide grit removes unwanted material from surface of cylinder brushes and exposes grit contained in brush..

Hand Pads

Non-woven material designed for general-purpose cleaning of metal surfaces.
