Ken Rakusin keeping business local
CITY OF INDUSTRY, Calif. — In 1990, Ken Rakusin took the position of president at Gordon Brush Manufacturing Company, but he was not sure what he was getting himself into.
The company was based out of a dark and rundown 15,000 square foot facility.
Gordon Brush's commercial kitchen cleaning brushes are great tools for use in restaurants, catering, commercial kitchens, as well as in the hospitality and food process or service industries. These brushes can clean a wide variety of commercial kitchen cooking equipment such as: fryers, ranges, ovens, griddles, dishes, and a whole lot more.
Whether it's for maintenance or cleaning, Gordon Brush® has the correct brush for your specific application. Shop from our selection of utility brushes, straight drain fryer brushes, angle fryer brushes and the award winning Platescrape.
Our fryer brushes, available in either straight or angled designs, have long handles for safe-reach into the inner surfaces of commercial cooking equipment. The brush head is made with high-temperature resistant fill materials that allow cooking appliances to be cleaned, even when oil is hot. These fryer brushes are also available in PEEK, a very high-temperature resistant material (480°F) — call or email for quote.
Our long handle utility brush, with an overall length of 20", can access hard-to-reach areas. This thick, durable cleaning brush has FDA approved Nylon fill with a solid polypropylene brush block. It is abrasion, odor, and chemical-resistant and designed to perform the toughest cleaning jobs within the commercial kitchen.
The Platescrape, which won the American Brush Manufacturers Willian A. Cordis innovation award, is a great tool for restaurants, schools, commercial kitchens, the military, and independent caterers because it is more efficient and reduces labor, soap, water, electricity and refuge costs. The Platescrape is the ideal solution when there is no room for a dishwasher.
