Ken Rakusin keeping business local
CITY OF INDUSTRY, Calif. — In 1990, Ken Rakusin took the position of president at Gordon Brush Manufacturing Company, but he was not sure what he was getting himself into.
The company was based out of a dark and rundown 15,000 square foot facility.
Gordon Brush® manufactures anti-static strip brushes that are used to control static buildup. Gordon Brush's anti-static brushes are made from low-charging materials and natural bristle materials that sit near neutral on the triboelectric chart. Anti-static brushes are tools that provide manufacturers of electronics and static charge-sensitive products with electrostatic discharge. With a choice between goat hair, horse hair and static dissipative nylon fill material, these strip brushes have many uses. One can also choose from a number of different height/trim lengths.
Anti-static strip brushes provide manufacturers of electronics and static-charge-sensitive products with the ability to clean without creating static, or to manufacture products that will not create static charges. Specific uses for ESD brushes include: Static Dissipation and Wiping; Dusting/Dirt Removal; Solder Removal; Circuit Board Preparation; Circuit Board Rework; Lead Trimming Rework; Edge Connector Cleaning.
